Motivation

Rise and Shine 🙂

Where can I start from… funny what is motivation?? To me it is finding that one thing that helps you push through your process.

What process ??? LIFE lol. Life is ROUGH for some Rougher for many. Even if you are rich it’s a rough life out there. No one is exempt from life’s challenges. I love writing but sometimes I really have to find my inner self or just really find what motives me to write what I feel, but when I do I can write so much. It is just learning how to put it all together is the tough part.

Where were we, Life can be so cruel At times, it can be surprising, it can be nasty and well sometimes it can be pretty good. The turnout depends on you & how you take it and handle it. Needless to say how you overcome life is your greatest success we story. ,

Just recently I lost a huge part of my life.. My sister, best friend, my ride or die, partner in crime and as much as I don’t want to go off – topic loosing someone or something that is really precious can really be a downer in your life. It can allow you to really get lost, wonder away from all your achievements, push you into a dark place like depression and sadness. Grief works different for everyone, My sister is not the first close person I lost, but we can leave that for another day. There’s a strange silence that follows loss. Not the kind you hear in a quiet room, but the kind that settles inside you. The kind when you find reaching for your phone to text them, hearing a song they liked, or passing by place that suddenly feels different because they are no longer there.

(Sighs) …. Sorry I had to gather my thoughts, writing is my way of venting. (Sips coffee to not cry) Whenever I lose someone close I tend to loose a lot of motivation. It changes me. Have you lost someone??? Has it changed you??? Sometimes it even changes the way you see yourself. People often say that time heals everything, but to me grief really does not work like that. Time doesn’t erase love, and it does not erase loss. Some days will feel heavy, on those days motivation can seem impossible to find. Even in the simple tasks may feel overwhelming & that’s okay.

Healing is not a straight line. Learning to find motivation while continuing the while a part of your world is missing is sucks but slowing, almost without noticing, life begins to grow around the pain. You laugh again. You begin to feel moments of peace without guilt. In this season I have found motivation in myself, my son and other half. I had to really dig deep because losing my sister was a huge shock for me. I was not expecting it to happen so soon, my sis even in the afterlife she is brining me motivation. I am sharing that motivation with my son, niece and nephew. Motivation starts with small steps.

Like for example:

  1. Getting out of bed
  2. Going for a walk
  3. Talking to someone who cares
  4. Return to a hobby you once loved
  5. Allowing yourself to dream about the future again
  6. Gain Faith
  7. Put Positive Music
  8. Clean your space
  9. Go out and treat yourself to a self care day

These small actions may seem insignificant, but they are proof that you are moving forward. One important thing to remember is this: moving forward does not mean leaving the person behind. The people we loose continue to live through the lessons they taught us, the memories they gave us, and the love they left in our hearts. Whatever you do not ever give up. There is meaning ahead of you, even if you cannot see it clearly yet.

This blog is dedicated to my beautiful sister Loremi Vanessa Garcia. An amazing daughter, a real freaking friend, the most amazing sister and best mom ever. I love and miss you forever.
